I’m Susie and I’m on a mission.

I’m a nurse practitioner with more than 30 years in the medical industry. My mission is to provide compassionate, knowledgeable care to my patients, who typically struggle with fatigue, nutrition, hormone imbalance, brain fog, autoimmune conditions, weight fluctuations and decreased libido.

I believe that patients should never be rushed or distracted by the noise of the hospital, insurance companies or medical executives.  My practice is dedicated to walking alongside those with the unique challenges of managing aging and wellness.

This is why I create unique programs that are completely individualized for my patients.  I consider their past and present health histories and from there, I formulate health plans, be it through food nourishment, medical prescriptions, lab tests, supplements and more, all there to reach their health goals.

Competition pic 💪

I raised five children while embarking on my own dreams, and health journey. I became a national bodybuilding competitor at age 43 and a national judge for bodybuilding competitions.

During this time, I saw the little care and compassion involved in the fitness industry for the emotional and physical wellness of the competitors. I began helping unwell athletes transition out of this arena with body, mind and soul work. This looked like facing challenges with autoimmune, endocrine, or genetic disorders — just to name a few.  This also included mindset work and facilitation to release emotional roadblocks.

Me + my 5 kids & their significants 🥰

Throughout our journey together, I will provide labs, allergy testing and gut health tests which can be done in the comfort of your own home.  This will be based on your individual symptoms might include hormone panels, autoimmune panels, kidney/liver function panels, vitamin and nutrient levels.

From there, we can determine what treatment plan would best suit your needs.

Susie’s Professional Bio

Susie has always had a desire to help others with a focus on nutrition and compassion. Her work began in 1993 where she graduated with a BSN in Nursing and a minor in nutrition. She began working in the inpatient setting in critical care including the Burn Care Unit, Coronary Care unit and Trauma Intensive care. She worked in the pediatrics ICU, Home health and  post anesthesia care unit during the time she was receiving her graduate school training at UNLV with her thesis on autoimmune disorders.

Over the years she has cared for many high profile patients, which she saw receive much better care than the general public. During and after her graduate studies, she also had the privilege of being a professor for  undergraduate students in the clinical setting at UNLV. She learned during this time that compassion is an art that can actually be taught, and yet this is an art rarely ever touched upon in traditional medical education.

After graduate school, she worked in Orthopedics and was first assistant in surgery.  She worked in antiaging and hormone replacement.  She grew a fondness for both 1:1 primary care and developing a relationship with her patients, and yet recognized that the current system overloads practitioners and shortchanges patients.

Because Susie felt that her patients deserved more care and she wanted the capacity to provide that, she began her private practice, Silver Bullet Wellness, and most recently an online forum for patients called Get Well with Susie Bell.

Because practitioners are not formally trained in private practice, it can be scary and daunting. There were many pitfalls that Susie had to navigate alone, which helped inspire her mission to help others feel empowered.

Susie is currently licensed in four states as an independent Nurse Practitioner and licensed in two states with independent DEA licenses.

She has a passion for the underserved and aging population. She has a desire to share her wealth of knowledge in the importance of compassion and how we can bring this important component back to our education and individual practice.

She enjoys empowering students, educators, nurses, nurse practitioners and hospitals to begin the compassion revolution in a world where we often overlook the lost art of healing.

Susie is ANCC certified and Functional Nutritional Medicine certified.
